simple stay near the thames

the bed was large. the staff were friendly. breakfast food was good. the room had a nice river view. the location suited onward travel after my stay.
the hotel looks more rural in photos then it is in person. this wasn't a major issue, but slightly different from what i expected.

The venue sits right on the river. Friendly staff. The location was also quite nice. I found the staff very helpful, especially during breakfast. The spacious bed was also very comfortable.
The hotel looks more rural in the pictures than it does in reality.

The train line behind the hotel was quite disruptive. Trains passed frequently. they were noisy until late at night and started again very early. additionally the parking situation was not well managed. i was charged for two nights of parking. however i was aware that spaces would be limited during the day.

The hotel showed significant improvements. It had a very kind, sweet atmosphere. The bed felt large, functional and great. The pillows were the same, providing excellent sleep. The bar and garden were very functional and offered excellent culinary standards.
I encountered just a small inconvenience. Water pressure is under review, rooms have older fittings, it's wise to inform the front desk of any issues.
